Steven,

It just depends on the lender. The guidelines read that the mortgage loan must be under contract and in the final steps of loan approval. However most mortgage companies will not fund the loan if it does not close by 9/30/2008. My company will still guarantee a September closing if a contract is executed by Monday 9/8/2008. After that we are not giving any type of guarantees to get your mortgage loan closed using Ameridream. Also, most sellers including bank owned are now NOT accepting offers with Down Payment Assistance. Just so you know there are other options. It would be really important to talk with a lender who can find creative options to help put clients into homes with little or nothing down.

I was told that if I had an accepted contract that even though the Ameridream program is going away at the end of September. I could still close on that contract after the 1st of October. Is there any truth to this???
